Tree Board

The City’s three member Tree Board consists of the Development Services Director, the Public Works Director and the Community Improvement Sergeant or an alternate appointed by the City Manager.  It is the responsibility of the Tree Board to study, investigate, counsel, develop, update and administer a plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal, or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets and in all other public areas.  Such plan shall constitute the official comprehensive tree plan for the City.  The Tree Board shall also consider, investigate, make findings of fact and act upon any special matter or question coming within the scope of its duties.  The Board meets on an ad hoc basis and is established in Section 3.4, Orange City Land Development Code.
